TOPJET3000 Solution

1. TopJet3000 solution and system specifications

1.1   System integration

TopJet3000 solution consists of printing unit, main controlling cabinet, connecting control unit, nozzle cleaning unit, industrial level computer and process control software, etc.

Printing unit: adjust the location of the printing content, complete the inkjet printing

Main controlling cabinet: control the air pressure and ink supply of the whole equipment, provide the suitable air pressure on the nozzle, control the quantity of ink fluid, and have the function of filter and alarming.
Connecting control unit: the rotary wheel connects with speed measuring roller and an encoder to realize the synchronization with the rotary wheel;

Nozzle cleaning unit: convenient self-service by users;

Industrial level computer and processing control software: complete the processing of the printing data and the management on the printing

1.2   Connection

It can be connected directly with rotary press frame, also frame on particular sheet or feeding platform.

2. Technical  characteristics

  • Adopt Industrial class piezoelectric nozzle can be used in dusty environment , the service life is up to 5000 hours or more.
  • The nozzle can be cleaned by the user without returning to the factory, thus improving the efficiency of the equipment.
  • Large capacity continuous ink supply, lack of ink automatic alarm, without stopping, can directly add ink or replace ink barrel.
  • Adopt imported UV ink, through environmental certification, with waterproof and LED UV drying function.
  • Printing control unit first adopts imported linear rail positioning, accurate to 0.005 mm ,it can ensure accurate stitching between printing control units, when finishing the stitching, it locks the device position, even if the collision occurs, it will not affect its position.
  • The distance between the operating desk and the printing equipment is 2~3 m, provide convenient operation and maintenance to the users.
  • The system adopts industrial level computer with data signal processor (DSP), it can process the rush data in a short period of time to ensure the normal operation.
  • The firm connection between encoder and rotary press keeps synchronous operation.
  • The version skipping and number skipping function meet the needs of all kinds of roll tickets printing, also can print head information or statistics information.
  • System software can realize collective compensational printing on multiple forms to make it more convenient.

3 Application Software

Envove inkjet printing application software is consisted of the form design system, print management system, data generation and transmission system, it is so completed and professional.

Form design system is used to complete the various layouts and positioning; Print management system is mainly used for monitoring, print tasks management, parameters setting; Data generation and transmission system is responsible for sending data to the device.
As the system is developed domestically, it has the advantages of maintenance, upgrade, personalized customization and so on,
The basic functions of each component are described below:

3.1 Design system

The design system is used to complete the formation of various bills, forms and variable data positioning. It can satisfy all kinds of complicated layout design. The function is the most powerful and perfect among the same kind of software. The details are described as follows:

1) Running on the Windows2000/XP platform or above;

  • What you see and what you get;
  • Support Windows TrueType fonts, as well as all Windows fonts;
  • Produce all kinds of bar code, as many as 29 bar code types;
  • Powerful typography and graphic rendering capabilities. It can be used in a variety of complex layouts, as well as graphics, such as straight lines, curves, and closed graphics;
  • Support all kinds of image file formats, such as TIF, JPG, EPS etc.
  • Accurate and fast positioning, including: grid lines, numbers, drag, alignment;
  • Multiple objects can be equally aligned or aligned at specified distances;
  • Minimum positioning accuracy 0.0001mm;
  • Supports unlimited Undo and Redo;
  • Support CMYK, RGB color system;
  • Stepless zoom on text, graphics, images;
  • Compatible to external data such as MDB, DBF, xls, etc;

3.2 Print management system

The print management system is mainly used to distribute print tasks, set the parameters of inkjet printers and monitor the entire system to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

  • The inkjet printing operations include: add printing tasks, delete printing tasks, print preview, print output.
  • Print start, pause and stop;
  • Print preview;
  • Nozzle timing;
  • Printing diary or record;
  • Realize fine jet printing position in the printing process, move forward or backward;
  • Print condition report;
  • Automatically show the error code, easy to find problems;
  • Query on inkjet printing operation;
  • Detailed instructions make maintenance more efficient.

3.3 Data generation and transmission system

The function of data generation and transmission system is to combine the generated variable data with the design definition, and then transmit to the equipment.

  • Generate variable data for number and bar code;
  • Can increase or decrease data as defined;
  • Parameters can be saved and loaded for repeated use;
  • The data can be text or database format;
  • Add fixed data anywhere in the variable data, front, back or center;
  • Provide more flexible and convenient collective compensational printing, the original data can be extracted automatically, need not to be regenerated;
  • Data from external sources can be converted into the required format by the system processing;
  • Provide data interface individually to meet the requirements of personality.

4  Challenge & Advantage

4.1 Full coverage conception system design

When configuring four to five printing units, TopJet 3000 basically can cover all types of label printing needs. In actual application, once operator adjusts the position of nozzle, each running can realize different types of labels print without adjusting the nozzle position, reduce frequent alignment. So it can improve efficiency and save the cost of ink and paper.

4.2 Enhance printing efficiency

TopJet 3000 solution adopts wide inkjet printing nozzle with each width up to 70.36 mm, so one nozzle can realize one-dimensional code or two-dimensional code printing in one time without any physical joint, it ensures the quality of barcode printing and identification. But when using 0.5 inches (12.7mm) nozzle to deal with the common 40mm barcode printing , it requires 3-4 nozzle cluster, damages the alignment of pattern horizontally also negatively influences the barcode identification efficiency  in nozzle stitching.

4.3 Effective color code management

Adopts automatic switching color code instrument (red, green, blue), it can select the definite color automatically with the contrast to the color code. So when in application to deal with a single color label printing, it requires only one color cluster to finish the printing tasks without additional investment.

4.4 Continuous ink supply

TopJet 3000 adopts continuous ink supply system, it can charge ink or replace the ink barrels without stopping. For it adopts external constant ink pressure supply, pressure can be controlled in the normal range.

4.5 Imported led uv ink

TopJet 3000 series of ink used imported LED UV ink with the feature of waterproof and fast drying. LED curing equipment bring you with an efficient practice.

4.6 Print head cleaning system

TopJet 3000 provide print head cleaning device, it can clean the nozzles when clogging or printing line breakage occurs , no need to return the factory.

4.7 Warranty

TopJet 3000 provides nozzle warranty time up to 3000 hours. If it sprays 10 hours a day, the warranty time is 300 days.

4.8  Protection level

Adopt 2 level protection. In practice, there are frequent scratches occur in running, the friction between paper and nozzle damages to the nozzle surface; or in a long time of offline, the dust will affect the nozzle cause some clogs. In these cases, the TopJet 3000 has adopted 2 level protection, the first level of protection is a convex type design, the joint part of paper will not wipe the nozzle; the second level is the protection cover, when the nozzle is  in a state of offline, it will move to a non working area with protection cover, it can protect the nozzle from dust and prolongs the use of life.

4.9 The statistic of print head service life

In order to get the statistic data on the consumption of a nozzle, Envove keep tracking the nozzles from our customers. It notes that  the service life is so related to the environment, proper running and maintenance, so each customer has different statistics. If mainly variable number output, the service life of a nozzle is about 2.5 years under normal running with daily average 12 hours of printing.
